went for ty's farewell dinner n took neoprints on mon... she's flying off to taiwan so soon n the reality doesnt seem to sink in on me... got me thinking abt the meetups we always had at her hse... she's like the person who gels everyone tgt n adds in all the laughter n fun... she's a friend i'll definitely miss. kinda sad tt i cldnt send her off today cos i hav tut all the way in serangoon... hope tt she's safe n happy in taiwan

visited 3 temples at serangoon for hist fieldtrip today... didnt noe tt they had so many chinese temples there. tot tt serangoon wld mostly have indian temples. learnt some pretty interesting things abt temple culture in singapore... mixture of mostly buddhism, daoism n local traditions... n one of the buddhist temples was really big!!! liked the sri lankan temple... cos it's pretty unique. it looks more like a cross btw an indian temple n a church w a really huge buddha inside. very thai-like. they even had a little room under the statue of the buddha... surprisingly, there was a painting of the chinese zodiac n the western horoscope on the ceiling of tt tiny room. kind of out of place... they shld hav more of such fieldtrips!!! better than being stuck in the confines of a teeny classrm
