hong kong trip

alrdy feeling kinda lazy typing tis post cos it's gonna be looooooooong... in the "nua" mood these days. haha.

HONG KONG = dumpling noodles + maggie mee + congee + spending (esp exp accommodation) +lotsa walking n aching kneecaps!!!

day 1

on the plane... 4 hr ride, budget airline where we got to enjoy the difference. lol. uber boring... so came the stupid photos...

on the ferry from macau to hk... 1 hr ride. both lw n rongie felt nauseous although i felt tt the ride was pretty comfortable. comfy enuff to slp. lol.

on the taxi on the way to mingle hotel in tsim tsa shui. the taxi uncle had no idea how to get there. rongie had to call hotel reception to give directions. cos so happens, the hotel is hidden up a VERY STEEP slope in a teeny corner

our techohotel room. real small. 3 of us had to squeeze into a queen sized bed. rongie cldn't slp on the first nite cos i "coped" her sleeping space. paiseh. didn't noe tt i slp slanted. lw told rongie to just push me back into place if i did it again. lol. n the bathroom glass was TOTALLY nt frosted enuff. can practically see movements inside the bathroom from the outside. scary. no privacy at all. reminds me of communal in thailand...

went to tis very old shop selling YUMMYLICIOUS dumpling noodles recommended by a random very friendly passer-by whom rongie asked for directions... i miss the prawn dumplings A LOT! n they still serve coke in a bottle!!!

day 2

on the MTR. our everyday tpt. spent almost all of the 100hkd in the octupus card within our 5 days there

the very very narrow building. abt less than 3/4 the width of a normal HDB column

at kam sheung to hunt for the hakka village recommended by lonely planet. super hard to find cos it's so ulu n very little ppl noe abt it. had to take a very windy taxi ride to reach kam sheung n walk quite a bit to look for the very discreet village. bt it was totally worth the effort!

i dunno y, bt rongie just liked the tree a lot. so we took a pic :D

got tis shot after many many many tries. cos i think i was kinda slow w the shutter. super funny. she also tried jumping off a chair (sounds kinda suicidal rite. lol.) bt ended up hitting the very low ceiling. cldn't stop laughing. bet the neighbors were super irritated w us cos we were so noisy n the walls were not at all soundproof. shall spare lw n not upload her un-glam photos on my blog. bt available on request. hahahah.

lw n i went for late night supper after Victoria peak. rongie didn't go cos she was too tired. n we came across tis shop w very nice mango-pamelo sago dessert

i so very miss it. it's so very nice tt lw kept eating mine. hahahah.

supper. second round. VERY OILY roadside sausage n squid. fried in a wok of oil then dipped in very oily sauce. our paper bags were soaked transparent w oil. disgusting bt yummy!

day 4

breakfast at mac's. they serve very nice ice lemon tea. unlike the bloody ice lemon tea i bought near je lib

went to central after hist museum w lw while rl went back to the hotel... lotsa stuff to shop there. also where lw saw her beloved retro red clock. super crowded. even had to queue to enter the elevator. went for a tram ride just for fun. took a whole round. pretty interesting cos u only pay when u alight. nt upon boarding. like the feel a lot.

wanted to watch twilight bt tix too exp. so shopped aimlessly near the harbor... headed for dim sum nxt

ferry to macau early in the morning. i only had coins left by the time we reached macau. pathetic.
